March 23rd, we played another show, a lot of people were there and it was a great night overall! You could feel the70s/80s ooze out of The Pioneer, and it was quite the experience. The staff was awesome to deal with!
We have a lot of work left ahead of us, we still have close to 10 songs to work on, we want to eventually record, so we are heading back into the GNG cave to continue what we’ve started. We might do a few other shows if the opportunity opens up for us.
Thanks to all who came out and see you soon!
So GNG’s second show is in the books. Our first with Serge, and I think everyone would agree he teared it up Saturday Night.
Despite sound issues, good time was had by all, a great LIVELY crowd that made it fun to perform in front of the Bistro de Paris faithful.
MANY thanks to the other bands: Once Named Sam and Camomille Cancer, two bands that have all the talent to do something in the Montreal Music Scene, and probably will! So check them out!
Our next stop is at The Pioneer, details are here:

2013 will be a special year for Good Nite Gilligan. Shows should be a regular occurrence, and songwriting will be at its peak. We will be pumping air into some song ideas by playing them live. These songs will grow and change as time goes by, our first show of 2013 will be February 23rd, this will be a warm up, a test to work out some tweaks. What you will hear will not be the final version, but songs in their infancy, but like any child, you’ve got to introduce them to the real world one day, and these are the baby steps.
We hope to see a lot of people at the show so we can see what they think, to see reactions.
Happy Holidays…
Hmmm, adding Serge to our band has complicated things for us, but not complicated “we can’t figure anything out”, but complicated “wow we can make these songs sound better!”
Serge has added a new dimension to the band, songs were being tugged and morphed into something else and those songs, as we knew them, could be no more.
So we are revisiting each song we have and transforming them, taking things out, or adding some things. We are taking our time, and really want to get to know this new GnG…
…thank you for your patience
